Hello, my name is Dellena Hoyer. I am incredibly grateful that I am able to help others for a living! My passion to serve in this field began twenty four years ago when I first started working in the field of addiction.
Over the years I've worked in every modality of the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Industry from detox, residential, outreach, case management, drug testing and counseling. I was fortunate to be able to walk the halls of the State Capitol advocating and being the voice for the Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act of 2001, known as Prop 36, which allocated $120 million for treatment services.
I received the Harold Cole Award for Outstanding Contributions in the Field of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Prevention and Treatment, also in 2001. Receiving this award grew me immensely, professionally and spiritually.
Through all these opportunities I found out what I do best, and that's helping people to navigate through all the resources regarding the different types of assessment pertaining to alcohol and other drugs related issues.
I believe that I was chosen to perform this work and I have an immense passion for helping people in times of crisis. Knowing that I have such frequent opportunities to make a difference in the redemptive journey that each person embarks upon is very rewarding. I get to be there to offer support at a time in life when support is most needed.
